Blanton's Gold Edition is a bourbon made from corn, rye and malted barley, in a 70cl bottle. It is drawn from selected casks in Warehouse H at the Buffalo Trace distillery.
The Blanton's name goes back to 1984, when it became the first single barrel American whisky to reach the market.
The nose is powerful and dry, with honey, dried fruit, vanilla and a touch of white pepper. The palate is sweet and rich, with apricot, butter, citrus and wood, followed by a long, balanced finish of caramel and chocolate.
