Blanton's Gold Edition is a single barrel bourbon from the Buffalo Trace distillery, bottled at 103 proof, or 51.5% ABV. Its mash bill has a higher proportion of rye, which gives a dry, spicy character with cinnamon and nutmeg.
The nose offers dried fruit and plum alongside clove. On the palate come dark fruit, pecan and oak, with a gentle sweetness of honey and vanilla.
