Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon Japanese Edition (75cl, 46.5%)

Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon Japanese Edition is a straight bourbon bottled for Japan and imported by Takara Shuzo. It is commonly called Takara Red because of its red wax. The bourbon is made at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, drawn from Mash Bill #2 and aged in metal-clad Warehouse H. It is bottled at 46.5% ABV, or 93 proof, in a 750ml bottle. Nutmeg and spice show on the nose. Dry vanilla, honey, caramel and corn follow on the palate, with citrus and oak also noted. The finish is medium in length, returning to corn and nutmeg.
