Blanton's Straight From The Barrel is a straight bourbon made at the Buffalo Trace distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, a site once known as Ancient Age. The Blanton's brand now belongs to the Sazerac Company.
This bottling comes straight from the barrel at 64.4% ABV, with no water added and no chill filtration. It follows the brand's approach of bottling barrel by barrel. A small splash of water is suggested to open up the flavours.
It is typically described as honey, candied fruit and nutmeg.
