Blanton's Takara Gold Japanese Edition Single Barrel Bourbon (51.5%)

This is Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon in its Takara Gold edition, made for the Japanese export market through Takara Shuzo. It was distilled at Buffalo Trace and is bottled at 51.5% ABV, with each bottle drawn from an individual barrel. It comes in a gold box and carries the horse-and-jockey stopper. The nose has vanilla bean, honey, citrus peel, caramel, toasted oak and baking spice. On the palate come toffee, orange zest, dark caramel, cinnamon and roasted nuts. The finish is long, with vanilla, pepper and soft sweetness.
