Blood Oath Pact No. 7 is the 2021 release in Lux Row Distillers' annual Blood Oath series, a bourbon blended by Master Distiller John Rempe and bottled at 49.3% ABV in a 750ml bottle, in a presentation box. Each Pact is a one-time blend, and this one was made in 51,000 bottles.
It combines a 14-year ryed bourbon, an 8-year ryed bourbon and an 8-year bourbon finished in Sauternes wine casks from Bordeaux, France.
The tasting notes describe a floral, rich nose of apricot, white grape, vanilla bean and toasted oak. The palate is silky, with honeycomb, ripe peach and citrus peel over a hint of rye spice, and the finish is long, with orchard fruit and gentle oak.
