Blood Oath Pact No. 8 is a Kentucky bourbon from Lux Row Distillers, released in 2022 as the eighth Pact in the Blood Oath series. It is bottled at 49.3% ABV, and 51,000 bottles were made.
Master Distiller John Rempe blended a 14-year-old ryed bourbon, an 11-year-old ryed bourbon and an 8-year-old bourbon finished in Calvados casks from Normandy. It is the first Blood Oath finished in Calvados.
The nose is apple pie, vanilla, toffee, cinnamon and toasted oak. The palate is silky, with baked apple, juicy pear, butterscotch and baking spice, and the finish is long and warming, with spiced oak and fruit compote.
