Blue Run Golden Rye Whiskey 2022 is a Kentucky straight rye, bottled at 47.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is Batch 2 of the rye series, drawn from 102 barrels and released in July 2022, and it follows the inaugural batch of September 2021. The whiskey was matured in new charred American oak.
The nose has cracked pepper, vanilla cream, candied orange peel and light oak. On the palate come cinnamon, honey graham cracker, citrus zest and herbal rye spice over butterscotch and sweet caramel. The finish is long, gentle and silky, with honey and baking spice.
