Bodegas San Alejandro Baltasar Gracián El Discreto Blanco 2023 Calatayud (75cl, 13.5%)

A 2023 white wine from Bodegas San Alejandro in Calatayud, Aragon, made from Garnacha Blanca and Viura and bottled at 13.5% vol in a 75cl bottle. The winery was founded in 1962 and farms 1,400 hectares of vineyards at 700 to 900 metres above sea level. The cooler climate gives low yields and slow, even ripening. The grapes are picked by hand and pressed gently to keep their freshness. Baltasar Gracián is the estate's main range. The nose shows fennel, citrus and stone fruit. On the palate it is crisp, fresh and creamy, with an elegant balance of acidity and body.
