A red wine from the Bolgheri area on the Tuscan coast, made mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by about 24 months in French oak barriques. It is intense ruby red, tending to garnet with age. The nose shows ripe red fruits such as currant and plum, with spice, tobacco and dark chocolate notes. On the palate it is robust but balanced, with fine tannins and harmonious acidity, and a long finish. Serve at 16-18°C.
