Bolla Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOCG Le Poiane Velina

A red wine from the classic Valpolicella area, where Corvina and native grapes give it identity. The ripasso technique, re-fermenting young wine on Amarone pomace, gives structure and complexity, with a soft body and distinctive aromatic richness. In the glass it is intense ruby, with aromas of ripe red fruit, cherry and sour cherry, enriched by delicate spicy notes and hints of cocoa and vanilla from ageing in wooden casks. On the palate it is enveloping and warm, with silky tannins supporting a long persistence. It suits red meats, roasts and aged cheeses.
