Bolla Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Classico Superiore

A vivid ruby red with garnet reflections, signalling good concentration. The nose opens on ripe red fruit, cherry and plum, accompanied by delicate spicy notes, hints of cocoa and light tobacco, and a gentle toast that does not dominate. The structure is broader than a young Valpolicella, with well-integrated tannins supporting the fruit without heaviness, while elegant acidity and savouriness keep the profile fresh. On the palate it confirms a enveloping character, with full body, polished tannins and a pleasant softness at the centre, evolving towards a savoury, persistent close. It pairs with braised meats, roasts, aged cheeses, mushroom dishes and structured ragù, and can accompany more complex preparations. Serve at around 16–18 °C; it improves with a few years in bottle but is enjoyable now.
