Bollinger R.D. 2007 is a vintage Champagne, with R.D. standing for Recently Disgorged. It is aged for a minimum of 8 years and disgorged shortly before release, so it keeps the depth of a mature Champagne with the freshness of a recently disgorged wine. This bottle was disgorged in July 2020 with a dosage of 3 grams per litre.
2007 was a dry year with an early August harvest. The blend draws on just 14 villages, with Verzenay leading the Pinot Noir and Cramant the Chardonnay.
On the nose are orchard fruit, citrus pith, white flowers, honey and orange oil. The palate is full-bodied, vibrant and precise, with a long finish.
