Bols Zeer Oude Genever (50cl, 35%)

A genever from Bols, made in Amsterdam at the distillery of one of the oldest producers in the world, founded in 1575. The recipe follows a tradition that goes back to the 19th century. It is made from a distillate of rye, maize and wheat, to which juniper is added, and it is triple distilled to draw out as much flavour as possible from the ingredients. The nose is botanical and spicy, with juniper mixed with a touch of coriander and citrus. On the palate there is a balanced blend of malt wine, botanicals and juniper, giving a smooth, full character with sweet and earthy notes. It is bottled at 35% in a 50cl bottle.
