Bomberger's Declaration 2026 is a Kentucky straight bourbon made by Michter's in Louisville and sold in a 75cl bottle. It is part of the annual Legacy Series, which revives the name of the Bomberger's distillery in Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania.
Each year's release has its own barrel programme, designed by Andrea Wilson, Michter's Master of Maturation. The 2026 edition uses Chinquapin oak and adds Hungarian oak for the first time. Michter's says this brings a rich chocolate note around the cherry and spice character of the Chinquapin.
It is typically described as having dark cherry, chocolate, baking spice, toasted pecans and butter toffee, with a silky texture.
