Bond & Lillard Batch 2 is a Kentucky straight bourbon at 50% ABV, in a 37.5cl bottle. It is part of Campari's Whiskey Barons Collection, which revives lost pre-Prohibition recipes.
It is distilled at Wild Turkey in Lawrenceburg, where Master Distiller Eddie Russell rebuilt the whiskey from its original mashbill of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. It is aged for at least seven years and charcoal filtered.
The nose offers vanilla cream, green apple and orange zest over toasted oak. The palate has green apple, baking spices, caramel sweetness and a hint of mint, and the finish is dry, with lingering oak and spice.
