This is a peated five year old from Bonnington, the Edinburgh distillery, bottled by the independent bottler Fruitful Spirits. It matured in a single new oak barrel charred to level four, which gave 261 bottles at a natural cask strength of 63.5%, in a 70cl bottle. It has no added colour and is not chill-filtered.
The nose offers cedar, cigar leaf and bonfire smoke. On the palate are toffee, vanilla, barbecue briquettes and smouldering charcoal. The finish is rich and sweet, with oak, caramel and charcoal.
