Bonollo Gran Dama (70cl)

Gran Dama is a grappa from the Bonollo house in the Veneto, made from selected grape pomace and distilled discontinuously to capture only the finest fractions. It comes in a 70cl bottle shaped as a chessboard. The pieces on the board hold two grappas: one aged, from Amarone, and one young, from white grapes. The nose offers white flowers, ripe fruit, sweet spice, almond and honey. The palate is velvety and rounded, with vanilla, dried fruit, toasted hazelnut and light woody notes, leading to a long finish. It is suggested as a sipping grappa, with dark chocolate, almond biscuits or blue cheese.
