Booker's Batch 2016-04 'Bluegill Creek Batch' is the fourth named batch of 2016, a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled uncut and unfiltered at natural barrel proof. The label gives an age of about six to eight years. It is named after a creek near the Jim Beam rickhouses in Clermont, Kentucky, where Booker Noe spent time fishing. The nose is warm caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and baking spice. The palate is full and concentrated, with toffee, charred barrel, rye pepper and dark fruit, and the finish is long and warming with lasting barrel spice.
