Booker's Batch 2018-01 'Kathleen's Batch' (75cl)

Booker's Batch 2018-01 is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled uncut and unfiltered at natural barrel proof, in a 75cl bottle. It was the first named batch of 2018 and is called 'Kathleen's Batch' after Kathleen DiBenedetto, a longtime Jim Beam employee. The barrels came from the centre cut of the rickhouse and are about six to eight years old. Booker's names its batches in honour of people at the distillery. The nose offers warm caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and baking spice. The palate is full, with toffee, charred barrel, rye pepper and dark fruit, and the finish is long and warming with barrel spice and sweet vanilla.
