Booker's 'By the Pond' is Batch 2025-02, the second release in the 2025 Booker's collection, a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle. It is named after the backyard pond of the master distiller's father.
The batch was selected during a very wet spring, with record rainfall in Kentucky. Its colour reminded the master distiller of the horses that compete in the Kentucky Derby.
The nose is inviting, with vanilla and oak, and the palate has a sweetness that invites a second sip.
