This is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey from James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, aged 13 years, 1 month and 12 days. It was bottled uncut and unfiltered at barrel proof, 68.1% ABV, in a 75cl bottle, and released in June 2016 as a one-time edition. It is the only rye ever bottled under the Booker's name. The rye was barrelled in 2003, among the last whiskey Booker Noe laid down before he died in 2004. His son Fred Noe, seventh-generation Master Distiller, selected the barrels from one of his father's favourite rackhouses. The nose shows caramel, campfire wood smoke, maple, toffee and clementine zest. The palate has molasses, crème brûlée, cloves, nutmeg, peppercorn and multigrain bread. The finish is very long and spicy, with vanilla, chocolate, liquorice and oak char.
