This is a 12 year old single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Boone County Distilling Co. in Independence. It is a cask strength bottling at 54.15% ABV (108.30 proof), in a 750ml bottle. Barrel B0505 was selected by Liquor Barn as the third barrel in its first Series 1 Boone County programme. The bourbon was distilled at MGP from a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, and is non-chill filtered. The nose has warm caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, rye spice and dried fruit. The palate is rich and balanced, with toffee, brown sugar, charred barrel and cinnamon. The finish is long and warm, with lingering sweetness and oak.
