This is a 16-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Steph Curry's Gentleman's Cut brand, bottled at 50% ABV. It was distilled in August 2008 at Boone County Distilling Company in Northern Kentucky, from a mash of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley, in a 500-gallon copper pot still. It aged in new charred American oak.
The Father & Son Edition marks Stephen Curry's 16th NBA season, matching the 16-year NBA career of his father, Dell Curry. Just 1,000 hand-numbered bottles were made, each signed by Curry and presented in a walnut box.
The nose brings dried cherry, caramelised brown sugar, tobacco leaf and spiced oak. The palate shows vanilla, toffee, baking spices, sweet pipe smoke and leather, and the finish is long, with sweet char, cherry wood and earthy tobacco.
