Boone's Bourbon 'Homegrown' is a South Carolina bourbon bottled at 58.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the bourbon brand of singer-songwriter Tyler Boone, made with Local Choice Spirits and distilled and bottled by Striped Pig Distillery in Charleston.
The mash bill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, and the whiskey spends a minimum of six months in new charred American white oak.
The tasting notes describe caramel and brown sugar at the start, black pepper and cinnamon from the rye through the middle, and toasted oak on the close, with corn sweetness balancing the heat.
