Bowmore 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, made with peat, which is why whiskies from the island are often smoky.
Bowmore is the oldest distillery on Islay and has produced single malt since 1779. It is home to the No. 1 Vaults, described as the world's oldest maturation warehouse for whisky, where Bowmore has matured for almost 240 years. The founder, David Simson, bought the land in 1766.
