Bowmore 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. The distillery still malts its barley on the floor and dries it using local peat only. Its maturation casks rest in the well-known vaults below sea level until they are ready for bottling.
The whisky is a clear amber colour. The nose shows lemon and honey, held together by Bowmore's smoky character. The palate is warm, with touches of dark chocolate and peat smoke, and the finish is long and delicate.
