A 14 year old single malt from Bowmore on the Isle of Islay. It matured first in American oak casks and was then finished in Bordeaux wine casks, and it is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The Bordeaux casks give the whisky a deep ruby colour. Bowmore's maritime character is said to combine with the fruity notes of the wine casks.
