Bowmore 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt bottled at 43%. It is matured first in bourbon barrels and then in Oloroso sherry casks, where it spends its final three years.
Those Oloroso casks give the whisky its rich, deep colour and a robust, warming finish.
Dark chocolate and raisin sit alongside Bowmore's smokiness on the nose. The palate brings cedar wood and treacle toffee, and the finish is spicy, with toffee, sherry and barley.
