This Bowmore 15 Year Old Islay single malt comes in a ceramic flagon made to commemorate the 1988 Glasgow Garden Festival. It was bottled in 1988 at 40% ABV, in a 75cl flagon.
Three years of its maturation were spent in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose combines leathery sherry, tropical fruit and hints of peat smoke. On the palate smoky peat meets woody spices and a subtle medicinal edge, and the finish is soft and tarry, with green apple and lingering spice.
