Bowmore 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. It matures solely in oak casks that previously held Oloroso sherry, which gives a deep amber colour and darker notes of dried fruit, chocolate and spice.
Peat is clearly present, balanced by caramel, citrus and a trace of vanilla. The palate moves from malt and peat towards a long finish with dark fruit, cinnamon and nutmeg, and a velvety texture that leaves a lingering spiced warmth.
