Bowmore 15 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, matured for fifteen years in a 70cl bottle format. It begins in European oak Oloroso sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finishes in sherry-seasoned oak.
The colour is a subdued crimson. The nose has cocoa beans, moist Corinth raisins and sun-ripened dates, with cinnamon, dark chocolate and a light thread of smoke. On the palate come liquorice root and sweet sherry notes, with a gentle spice that lingers.
