Bowmore 15 Years is an Islay single malt matured in oak casks for fifteen years, in a 70cl bottle. Bowmore stands on Islay, was built in 1779 and is now owned by Morrison Bowmore. The spirit is distilled in two steam-heated stills, one of 30,000 litres and one of 15,000 litres.
The nose is creamy, with sherry, dark chocolate and a thread of peat smoke. The palate is rich and syrupy, with caramel, malt and cedar wood, followed by a smoky aftertaste.
