Bowmore 18 Year Old is a peated Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% abv. It is made from 100% malted barley from a single distillery, dried with peat.
The whiskies in this expression matured exclusively in either ex-bourbon barrels or ex-sherry casks and were then blended together. Neither cask type is meant to outshine the other.
Bowmore stands in Islay's main town of the same name and says its whisky is made to taste as it did when first distilled in 1779.
