Bowmore 18 Year Old Sherry Oak is an Islay single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in ex-bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, then finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry wood.
Bright citrus and the gentle peat of the distillery sit alongside varied fruit and chocolate tones, with a coastal character running through.
The nose offers dark chocolate and cocoa beans with zesty citrus and a peaty base. On the palate come orange peel, moist sultanas, aniseed spice and more cocoa. The finish is long and fruity.
