Bowmore – 1965 52 Year Old (70cl, 42%)

This is a 52 year old Bowmore single malt from 1965, bottled at 42% and released in 2018 as a limited edition of 232 bottles. It was matured in an Oloroso sherry cask. Each bottle is presented in an individually numbered and engraved crystal decanter, housed in a handcrafted solid Scottish oak cabinet with metallic inlays, shaped to give the impression of a tree trunk in section. The producer's notes describe a nose of fragrant fruits, beeswax and intense dark chocolate. The palate brings burnt heather, jasmine and dried fruit, and the finish lingers with fresh spring flowers and apricot.
