Bowmore 1982 is an Islay single malt, distilled in 1982 and bottled in June 2011 after 29 years in hand-selected oak casks in the distillery's No. 1 Vaults. It is the second expression in Bowmore's Vintage Series.
Bottled at a cask strength of 47.3% ABV without chill-filtration, in a 70cl bottle, it is limited to 501 bottles worldwide.
The nose offers barley sugar and gentle peat smoke, with peach Melba ice cream and vanilla pods. On the palate, fresh lemon pepper gives way to warm, earthy smokiness, and the finish is sweet, fruity and lingering.
