Bowmore 20 Year Old Oak Voyage is an Islay single malt from the Captivo Collection, created in partnership with the New York design studio Snarkitecture. It is bottled at 50.8% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was aged in American oak ex-bourbon casks and finished in an American oak ex-Oloroso sherry butt. It brings together subtle smoke, chestnut richness and manuka honey.
The nose has salted toffee, dried fruit, orange peel, tobacco and honey. On the palate come dark cherry, candied orange, manuka honey, cool eucalyptus and toasted oak. The finish is smoothly sweet, with vanilla and a whisper of camp smoke.
