This is a 20 year old Bowmore single malt from Islay, released in 2026 as the Oak Voyage expression in the Captivo collection, which was created with the design practice Snarkitecture. It is bottled at 50.8% ABV.
The whisky matured for two decades in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then was aged in American oak Oloroso sherry butts to add richness and complexity.
It opens with dark cherry, candied orange and Manuka honey, with a cool touch of eucalyptus and toasted oak. The finish brings smooth vanilla sweetness and a faint whisper of campfire smoke.
