This is a 21 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled in 2012 as Keizo Saji's Cask. It was matured in sherry casks and bottled at 55.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The release was distributed to Suntory staff.
The nose offers ripe plum, dried apricot and red currant, with cinnamon, nutmeg and aged oak. On the palate there is caramelised apple and toffee, toasted nuts and a little gentle peat smoke, in a silky, creamy texture. The finish is long and warm, with dark chocolate and a trace of sea salt.
