This is a 23 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, matured in port casks and bottled at 50.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited release. The whisky was distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2013. Bowmore malts its barley on the floor and dries it over local peat, and the casks rest in vaults that lie below sea level. Tasting notes describe blood orange, truffle, walnut, plum and dark chocolate, with smoke and sea salt.
