Bowmore 23 Year Old The Lovers Transformed is an Islay single malt, finished in refill Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry-seasoned European oak casks. It is bottled at 50.9% ABV in a release of 8,000 bottles. The exclusive design is by Frank Quitely, known for his Marvel and DC Comics illustration, and the story draws on an Islay myth of a Pictish king's daughter who fell in love with a captured Celtic warrior. The nose has Atlantic sea salt, toffee, salted caramel, leather and stewed apple, with rose petals and Parma violets. The palate is sweet and peaty, with maple syrup, demerara sugar, cocoa and liquorice, and the finish is rich and earthy with a long, honeyed sweetness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
