Bowmore 25 Year Old is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43%. It was matured for 25 years in a combination of American bourbon casks and European Oloroso sherry casks.
The whisky is a deep mahogany in colour. On the nose there is rhubarb, dried plum and sultanas, with vanilla and a trace of coastal minerality. The palate brings soft toffee, hazelnuts and sweet stone fruit. The finish carries gentle smoke and a lingering sweetness.
