Bowmore – 26 Year Old - Vintner's Trilogy II (French Oak Barrique) is a single malt whisky from Bowmore (Islay). Aged 26 years, bottled at 48.7% ABV, 70cl. Finished in port Pipes.
This is the second release in Bowmore's Vintner's Trilogy - each released with different wine finish. This 26-year-old was double matured; for the first 13 years, it was aged in bourbon barrels, then aged for the remaining 13 years in French Oak Barriques. The double maturation and wine finish has resulted in hints of oak spiced smoke and salty dark chocolate.
