Bowmore 27 Year Old Timeless Series is an Islay single malt that spent 15 years in sherry and bourbon casks, followed by 12 years in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. It was bottled in 2021 at 52.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The release is limited to 3,000 bottles.
The nose is dried apricot, prune and sultana with hints of cinnamon. The palate offers dark chocolate, peat, tobacco and a touch of almond, and the long finish carries burnt caramel and subtle incense smoke.
