This is a 30 year old Bowmore from Islay, the 2020 release, bottled by the distillery at 45.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled in 1989 and matured in Sherry hogsheads and Bourbon casks. Only 2,580 bottles were produced.
Ripe apricot with a hint of spice leads the nose, followed by caramelised apple and toasted almond on the palate. The finish carries subtle peat and a warm spice.
