The 2023 release of Bowmore's annual 30 Year Old, an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon barrels and European oak sherry casks, and bottled at 45.9%. Only 2,568 bottles were made.
The presentation takes its design from weathered driftwood and sea glass.
The colour is burnished gold. The nose offers ripe papaya, caramelised mango and molasses. On the palate come layers of tropical fruit with sweet honey and warm Islay peat smoke, and the finish is gently warming, with lingering rich tropical fruit.
