Bowmore – 46 Year Old 1964 Fino Cask (70cl, 42.9%)

This is a 1964 Bowmore, 46 years old and matured in a Fino cask. It is bottled at 42.9% in a 70cl bottle, as a limited edition of 72 bottles released in 2012. The nose is ripe peach and rose water with a wisp of smoking barley. On the palate, ripe peaches are balanced by an acidic note like juicy blood oranges, followed by gentle oak with coconut cream and sweetness. The finish recalls gentle peat fires smoking in the dusk.
