This is a Bowmore from Islay, distilled in April 1991 and bottled in November 2008 by Gordon & MacPhail as Secret Stills 4.9. Bowmore is the oldest distillery on Islay, and this is the fourth distillery in the Secret Stills series.
It matured in a refill sherry hogshead. The flavour is described as peat smoke with a delicate vanilla influence.
