This is a Bowmore single malt from Islay, released in the 1970s in the Sherriff's series and bottled in a half bottle of 375ml at 35% ABV. The label carries a sheriff's ship.
The nose is ripe orchard fruits, zesty citrus, dried apricots, warm cinnamon, chamomile and subtle oak vanilla. The palate has honeyed pear, baked apple, ginger spice, toasted almond and sea salt, with a silky texture. The finish brings sweet tobacco and dark chocolate in harmonious balance.
